Fresh Smudge - White Sage and Eucalyptus

SKU: 9010
€15.00

Availability: In stock

Quick Overview

White Sage and Eucalyptus make up our signature smudge stick. All the ingredients are certified organic, and hand picked from the area of mount Olympus in Greece. It is bound by hand with 100% organic cotton thread.

Burn until 3cm above thread handle.

Smudging has its roots as a ritual in many Pagan traditions, from Shamans of Indigenous Peoples in North America, to India and ancient Greece as a preparation before temple rituals. We smudge our homes and bodies to clear heavy energies and renew our energy.

How to use:

First and foremost, open a door or window before lighting up. After all, that negativity and smoke needs to have a pathway to get out.

Intentions are central to the practice of smudging, so take a moment before you light the sage to determine what exactly it is that you're trying to purify or release from your space.

Once you're ready, hold the sage at a 45-degree angle, light it using a match or candle, and let it burn for about 2-3 seconds. After that, gently blow out the flame so you see orange embers on one end. If you blow on the ember it will re-light itself.

Slowly walk around your space and allow the smoke to waft around. Guide the smoke—and the bad energy—toward the open windows or a door, so it can escape.

Health and Safety:

Always stay present! If you see little embers fall on the ground, tamp them out immediately. Never let the burning sage stay unattended for any reason. Do not inhale directly the smoke.

Once you're ready to extinguish a sage smudge stick, press the burning tip firmly into a fireproof vessel, dirt, or sand until the smoke no longer rises.

Always hold a fire proof vessel under the smudge stick to collect embers. Ideally you can use an abalone shell so that the element of water is added to your ritual.

Leave windows open before, during and after smudging

Particularly heavy smoke is released and should not be confined in space.
