Out with the Old, In with the New!
As the New Year is just around the corner, we might aswell greet it the best way possible! Every start of the year is a great time to press the reboot button, set new goals and finish all things remaining on our to-do list. Now is the time to restart and reset.
We all have a thing or two that we have been postponing for ‘next week’ which then turns to ‘next month’, which eventually turns to ‘next year’! Becoming a burden, an unnecessary load that ends up holding up mental space, cloggs our thoughts draining energy that would have been used to help new things to flourish. Now is the best time to finish everything and get your old baggage out of the way (emotional, mental and physical).
The beginning of a new year always has something magical because it is a transformative period. dreams can become reality, starting from the bottom and slowly working towards a goal. It is a good time to start something new that you were deliberating in the past, or try something new which could take you to an exciting path!
Meditation and Yoga before the New Year can be a great tool to declutter all things that need to go, aswell as figuring out what is important and what you want and need in your life right now. Being physically strong and healthy will give you the energy to do more, and clearing your mind will make planning and focusing clearer and more structured.
It is also the best time to set Intentions for the year to come. Including dedications and intentions in your practice brings awareness to your virtues on and off the mat. Setting your Intentions and meditating will help your resolutions come to life rather than forgetting them soon after you make them. Choosing a mantra as a guide and an inspirations is also a great way to start the year. Chant it, say it or write it and make this part of your daily practice.
Combining Meditation, Intentions and Mantras with your yoga practice will help you deepen and enhance your physical experience. These are a few tools that can help you carry out your resolutions and lead you to personal growth. We wish you the best for the year to come filled with light and love.
